Surprise by Chloe

One day I was preparing Chloe's bed for her to have a nap I found a surprise.  She has become fascinated with my nail polish and always wants her toes to be pink.  She plays with the polish almost every day carrying around and having a whole little conversation with it.  I guess she wanted this one ot play with during her nap.

Our campground has a swimming pool and a couple of evenings Clint has taken Chloe to to try and stay a little cool in this crazy heat.  She was shivering like crazy, but didn't want to go home.  We are going to have to get her some floaties though because she thinks she is big enough not to have to have Daddy's help.  Scares Mama to death!

Memorial Day Fun

Clint had a long weekend for Memorial Day weekend so we loaded up and drove to Amarillo after he got off on Friday.  Living closer to my family means that we can now take little weekend trips to get out of town.  We had a good time getting to see the family and Chloe really enjoyed it too.  The last visit to Amarillo was really hard on her.  She was upset, sick and crying the whole time so I was a little nervous for this trip.  Other than not sleeping through the night, she did great!  She was happy, friendly and loved playing with everyone!

Mimi found some cute little cars at a garage sale right before we came and Chloe thought they were the best toys on the planet.  She couldn't get enough of them.

We had a nice relaxing visit and enjoyed all the space in the house.  Chloe loved having an area to run and play and some new toys to play with.

MawMaw's Visit

Clint's grandma came to Odessa to visit some family that lives here and take a little vacation to Hawaii.  When she got back, we got to hang out with her for dinner a few nights.  One night she took everyone to Mr. G@tties so the little ones would have a place to run around and get the wiggles out.  They all had lots of fun, and Chloe got to pick out two little bouncy balls with her tickets.  She was in heaven because she is a huge fan of balls at the moment.

Strawberries and Cream Pie

We had a little get together the other day and I was going to bring dessert.  The oven in the camper heats things up a whole lot so I decided to do a no bake dessert.  I found this recipe a while back and decided that this would be the perfect time to try it out.  It was a huge hit and I have made it a couple more times already.  Chloe even thought it was delicious and she likes to "help" me make it.  Most of the time that means stealing my strawberries and trying to stick her finger in the mixture.  I highly recommend for a light, delicious, summer dessert.  Here is the recipe.

Chloe kinda figured out what the camera does the other day, so for a few days she kept finding it and bringing it to me and wanting me to take pictures and show her.  She cracks me up!

Mother's Day

First things first, I must apologize for my little bloggy break.  It was an accident.  We are still trying to get in a good routine around here.  It seems like every time I sit down to blog something comes up or I am so exhausted from trying to keep Chloe from breaking something or chasing her all over the yard, that I just opt for sleep or mindless entertainment instead.  Any way, so here is my Mother's Day post, almost a month late.  I would write some sweet words about the moms in our lives, but lets face it, a month late and when it is almost Father's Day.... well I guess I missed my chance. I hope our mothers felt appreciated on Mother's Day even if they didn't get their own post. 

I had a nice Mother's Day, low key, felt like most other Sundays, but I took the time to be thankful for my little treasure and the fact that I get to be a mother.  For such a long time I thought I would never get that chance and I am so thankful for the precious little girl that God blessed me with.
