Lemon Love

My little Chloe loves snacking on lemons.  I gave her one the the other day and was a happy little girl!

Signs of Spring

The first signs of spring are showing up and we have enjoyed spending some more time outside lately.  It has been pretty windy so it hasn't been as pleasant as usual, but we have still been spending a little more time out than normal.

 It kept her occupied long enough for me to get several boxes packed.  She did get pretty dirty in the process.  I am looking forward to getting to plant some flowers at our new temporary "home"

Moving update:  Today we are unloading our belongings into storage and hopefully trying to get settled into our temporary home.

Surprise by Chloe

I started putting clean dishes away the other day an found a cold lozenge that apparently needed a good washing.  The dishwasher completely dissolved it but left the wrapper in tact.

Moving update:  We are making the drive to our new town today!  Thanks for your prayers!

Feeding Ducks

Chloe loves the little duck pond by our house.  We are going to have to find a new one once get moved as soon as possible.  We took a break from packing last week to have a little family outing and go feed the ducks.  The only thing that would have made Chloe happier is if she had actually been able to catch and kiss one of the ducks.  She tries every time!

Packing

Well, the packing and chaos is well under way at the Mann house.  Chloe and I have been working hard and might actually be ready to load the truck on Thursday!  So, what does a little girl do all day while Mama is packing?

She has been such a sweet little girl during this time.  I was very unsure how I was going to get us all packed up and ready to move with a toddler and Clint at home very little during this time, but it has worked out very well.

Chloe is in the lovey stage of learning to feed herself.  It is great because it frees me up to feed myself, but boy the messes!

Surprise By Chloe

Most of the time Chloe's little surprises make me smile.  Sometimes they make my heart stop for a minute.  I was getting stuff ready to go to the bank and I knew Chloe was messing with my purse and the cash, but it was giving me the few minutes I needed to fill out the deposit slip without her "help."  When I started gathering all the stuff up to leave I noticed I was short on cash.  Thankfully I remembered Chloe's love for throwing things away.  

Deep Cleaning

I have been cleaning and organizing getting ready to pack and move.  It is a little more of a challenge with a toddler who thinks she needs to "help" or play with everything that I am working on.  I decided to pull out the oven drawer one day and rescue all the toys and things that had gotten lost under there.  Apparently Chloe thought it was just her size.

I finally had to make her get out so I could put it back.  She just wanted to sit there and have a conversation with me all day I guess.  I am sure this is just the beginning of fun pictures that involve packing and moving....  Hopefully I will have time to post between now and then!

Surprise by Chloe

One night before bed Chloe had a little snack.  As I was getting laundry started and sheets put on her bed she was wandering around eating and having a good time.  It came time to put her to bed and I briefly wondered where she had put the package her snack was in, but Clint was working and bedtime is a full time job by myself so I didn't think about it too long.  Later that night when I was getting ready for bed I found the package and its lid.... in my nightstand drawer. 

Blizzard

There was a major blizzard in Amarillo the day before we were supposed to leave.  It snowed around 19 inches and the wind blew around 70 miles an hour.  Not a super fun snowstorm at all.  All the highways shut down and all the flights were cancelled for a couple of days.  Having an extra day meant that we got to go play in all the deep snow though, which all the kids thought was pretty fun!

What a fun cold experience!

Fun Times in Amarillo

I am finally getting back to posting about our Amarillo trip.  We have been home a little over a week and we have been trying to get caught up on the house work and get things ready to start packing for our move.  Its been a crazy busy week.

While we were in Amarillo pretty much everyone got a cold.  It dampened the fun quite a bit.  Chloe was a mess.  She was cutting at least 5 teeth.  She had an earache, a 103 fever for several days, a cold and some kind of virus that left her with a rash when the fever left.  Poor thing was miserable.  She refused to like her Mimi, only tolerated the rest of the family and was generally stuck to my hip the whole two weeks.  Because of that I didn't get as many cute pictures as I wanted.  Thanks to at least one child being sick or crying at all times the entire two weeks we didn't even get any pictures of all the cousins together.  Hopefully next trip will be better.  Overall we did still have a good time getting to see family.  We got to experience a major blizzard that kept us in Amarillo an extra day.  I was tired and we were very glad to see Clint when we got home though.  I did get a few pictures of fun times when Chloe wasn't crying.

All kinds of excitement for two weeks.  Chloe taught Savannah that bath water is delicious, kitchen cabinets hold all kinds of fun toys and the cat water can be fun! Chloe learned that highchair buckles are pretty interesting, she needs to drag every blanket she owns all over the house and squeeze pouches of food are yummy.  

Hopefully it won't be another year and a half before we get to visit again and next time the cousins will have more fun because they won't all be sick!
