You turned 6 months old in May! I can't believe how fast time has flown and how fast you have grown. It is hard to believe that I have been a Mama for half a year already.
You branched out in your food eating. So far you have had oatmeal, pears, banana, applesauce, sweet potatoes, squash, green beans and avocado. You seem to like pretty much all of it. It took a couple of tries and mixing it with some apples before you decided you really like oatmeal. You seem to love squash and avocado. Strangely, the fruit seems to be your least favorite, although you do still like it.
I continued to be a sleep deprived Mama because your sleep habits were all over the place. You never seem too happy to be up in the middle of the night, but you sure do wake up often for someone who doesn't like it.
You also finally figured out how to sit alone. You have been trying to figure that out since you were just a few weeks old and you finally got it. You think it is the best thing ever! Now that you can sit and play, laying down to play isn't quite as much fun as it used to be.
You also decided that tummy time might not be the worst thing in the world. You discovered that there were toys that you could play with better when you were on your tummy than when you were on your back.
You also discovered that staying up past your bedtime is pretty fun and you love to study your Daddy when you are supposed to be sleeping.
You got to see your Mimi and Pawpaw for a few hours one day. They brought you some toys and you thought that was pretty fun. We went to park and Pawpaw let you explore all kinds of outdoor things.
Daddy took you to the swimming pool for the first time and you weren't too fond of it just yet. We put you in a floaty the next time we took you to the pool and you liked that a little better. Mostly you wanted to drink the water, which really grossed Mama out.
You also decided that the kitty looked like a pretty fun playmate. Lucy is not a fan, but you surely are fascinated by her. You have been exercising you crawling muscles although you can't make yourself go anywhere yet. You love paper and the fun noise it makes when you play with it. You also got you first mosquito bite.
Suddenly this month you are full of curiosity. You are interested in everything around you and love touching things and feeling their different textures. We love watching you learn and explore your little world.
